Keys N Krates have been producing some of my favorite tunes since I first laid ears on them. From their Lucid Dreams EP to their remix of “Clique,” to even just watching their YouTube rehearsal videos, the guys of Keys N Krates have won me over. The SOLOW EP only reinforces that feeling more. Opening up with “I Just Can’t Deny,” the boys showcase their ability of making a tune that makes you feel the beat from the inside out. It then proceeds into “Dum Dee Dum,” which feels something like an out of this world trap circus ride and “Ratchet Hoe$,” where they form the perfect combination of bass and hip hop to get your feet moving. Closing out the EP with one of my favorite tracks, “Treat Me Right,” this album is full on bliss from the second you press play to the moment it ends. “Treat Me Right,” showcases each members talent to come together and form a infectious tune that has just enough bass, meaning, and melody. I always feel like I’m on a musical cloud after listening. So grab the SOLOW EP and see what I’ve been talking about.
